UPDATE MARCH 19TH, 2013: Many thanks to the Lansing Public Safety Committee for keeping level heads and making sound decisions regarding the dangerous animal ordinance! At todays  meeting, they determined no new ordinance was needed at this time. Instead, they will use the existing ordinance but look for improved enforcement/communication from LPD to ICAC.
